A Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle is factory-inspected, factory-backed and factory-warrantied. Every CPO vehicle on our lot passed a full inspection by a trained technician, was reconditioned with authentic Mopar parts, and carries limited warranty coverage and 24-hour roadside assistance that a standard used car does not.
What certified pre-owned actually means
Certified pre-owned sits between new and used. The vehicle had a previous owner, but it was hand-selected into the program, inspected against a factory checklist, and repaired with genuine parts where needed. Vehicles that fail the inspection cannot be sold as certified, so they move to our regular used inventory instead.
The part that matters most: the warranty is backed by the manufacturer, not by a third party and not by us alone. That means any Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram dealer in the country can honor it, and the coverage transfers with the vehicle if you sell it.

The inspection, brand by brand
Each brand runs its own checklist, performed by a technician trained on that brand. Wheels and undercarriage, engine and drivetrain, steering and brakes, electronics, interior, paint and body condition all get checked. Anything that needs replacing is replaced with authentic Mopar parts.

Warranty coverage
Certified pre-owned vehicles fall into one of three coverage levels. Which one a vehicle qualifies for depends on its model year and mileage, so ask us to confirm the exact coverage on the vehicle you are considering before you buy.

Two details worth knowing
Coverage transfers. If you sell the vehicle, the remaining certified coverage goes with it. In most states a $50 transfer fee applies at the time of sale, and a transferable warranty is a real selling point on a private resale.
Certified vehicles cannot be leased. The program is purchase-only. You can still finance one, and you can still trade in your current vehicle toward it. If leasing is what you are after, look at our new vehicle lease offers instead.

What is the difference between certified pre-owned and used?
A certified pre-owned vehicle is a used vehicle that was selected into the manufacturer's program, passed a factory inspection, was reconditioned with authentic Mopar parts, and carries factory-backed limited warranty coverage. A vehicle that fails the inspection cannot be certified. Both are worth considering, and you can compare our certified inventory against our used inventory side by side.
What does the certified pre-owned warranty cover?
Coverage falls into one of three levels depending on the vehicle's model year and mileage. CPOV includes a 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty plus a 3-month/3,000-mile Extended Care Premium limited warranty. CPO Gold includes a 12-month/12,000-mile Extended Care Premium limited warranty. CPO Go includes a 3-month/3,000-mile Extended Care Premium limited warranty. Can I lease a certified pre-owned vehicle?

Does the warranty transfer if I sell the vehicle?

How many points is the inspection?
Jeep, Ram and Chrysler certified vehicles pass a 125-point inspection. Dodge certified vehicles pass a 169-point inspection. Either way the work is done by a technician trained on that brand, and any parts replaced are authentic Mopar parts. See the inspection page for the checklist areas.
Is a certified pre-owned vehicle worth the extra cost over a comparable used one?
It depends on how you plan to use the vehicle. A certified vehicle costs more up front and buys you a factory inspection, factory-backed warranty coverage, roadside assistance and a transferable warranty at resale. If you keep vehicles a long time or drive a lot of miles, that coverage usually earns its keep. If you want the lowest purchase price or a specific older vehicle, standard used may be the better call. We will price both out for you.
Can I negotiate on a certified pre-owned vehicle?
Our certified pricing is set up front under our Transparent Price Promise, so the negotiation happens where it actually moves your number: your trade-in value, your financing terms, and any incentive programs you qualify for.
Can I trade in my current vehicle toward a certified one?
Yes. Get a figure online with our trade-in form, and if you have positive equity it comes straight off the price. Our Vehicle Exchange Program is worth a look if you bought your current vehicle from us.
Where can I get a certified vehicle serviced?
Any authorized Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram dealer can perform covered warranty work, because the coverage is factory-backed rather than dealer-backed. Locally, schedule an appointment at our Toms River service center.
