There are three different engine options for the 2025 RAM 1500, depending on your desired power output. Standard models come with a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 with eTorque technology for a total output of 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for the available Hurricane® inline-six engine that makes 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque instead. There's also a high-output version of the same powertrain that pumps out a robust 540 horsepower alongside 521 lb-ft of torque.
When it comes to carrying cargo, you can expect a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds and a towing capacity of 8,100 pounds if you stick with the base-level engine of this new RAM model. The available inline-six engine provides an improved maximum towing capacity of up to 11,560 pounds instead.*
